Focus Groups UK
Also known as “traditional market research” companies pay participants for being involved in focus groups, one to one interviews, usability studies or online projects. They take place at venues such as hotels or market research facilities, in your own home, on the phone or through an online forum. Whatever the format they all involve you giving your personal opinion on a chosen subject. You will get anything between £20 and £300 (sometimes more) for taking part.
When you attend a market research focus group or one to one interview, it will be audio and/or video recorded. These recordings are to help with analysis and reporting later on and will not be used for external purposes.
Market research sessions are conducted by trained interviewers (called moderators) Sometimes the client who commissioned the research will want to observe the session. You will always be informed who will be present at the session.
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes.
